Hello All!! Keep checking here to find our latest happenings and explorations! Thanks for reading!
The Grinch stole our Christmas card theme this year. It is hard to believe that this is the fifth year of sending out the Barlow Christmas Cards to friends and family! You all typically get to see the end result but don't get to view any of the behind the scenes details. Wishing you all the Merriest Christmas.

I did have to cut my shirt off ..... Didn't want to mess up my hair.

We were rebels and went on the portion of the track labeled "DO NOT ENTER". I'd say the pictures were worth it!

Congratulations to Shelly and Kyle! Kyle involved us in his proposal plan by having us hide at their first date location while he proposed. She said yes!

Many of you think it is too early to be thinking about Christmas. Only after events like Thanksgiving and Black Friday mark the official moment when it is socially acceptable to start putting up your tree. The official moment when you can climb around on the roof to string lights.
So why was I walking out of my house on 11/16 in a Santa hat, scarf, mittens and tinsel to get something out of my car in 75 degree weather? Why were my neighbors looking at me like I was a crazy person? Because I was taking advantage of the BEST time of year to get your Holiday pictures taken. The weather is mild. You aren't traveling around going to parties... yet. You can get the entire family in one spot at one time. It is officially the lull before the storm. My husband and I took full advantage.

Well, for a long as we have lived in Wilmington, we sure feel like tourists sometimes! This past weekend was "be a tourist in your hometown" here in Wilmington. You never realize how much of your town you didn't know existed until you poke around sometimes. So, with a wedding to shoot in the near future, we decided to be "tourists" and scout the wedding location, The Bellamy Mansion! The wedding that we are doing there isn't until June, but why not go enjoy the free tour! Unfortunately the free tour did not include the entire dwelling, but it did give us some awesome insight as to what type of shots we can expect and some cool and interesting ones as well with the bridal party. It also is going to help us prepare for what equipment we are going to need to take with us. We have found that is one of the most important things of heading out to a shoot. It is always a good idea to take everything you can with you, because you never know what obstacles you are going to encounter. If you can't take "everything" with you, you can at least have what you feel is going to be the "have to haves" for that particular event. It is also good though in case you don't have something that you need so you can get it before you have that event! We are looking forward to the wedding at The Bellamy Mansion and a few others we have coming up this summer! Keep an eye out for KineticPose Photography. You never know where we are going to show up!
